The pond is full of life, ranging from amphibians to reptiles such as caimans and Jesus Christ lizards. We have also introduced tilapia that will provide food for the caiman as well as the table. The pond receives all surplus water from the roof of the house and is fed from a large catchment area. The pond never dries up and could be used as a source of potable water. Two shallow wells have been sunk but have not as yet been used.
